MPP solar controller for motorhomes and high quality caravans.The Votronic solar controllers of the "MPP" series (maximum power point) with load characteristics "IU1oU2" are connected as a link between the solar panels and the battery(s).With MPP technology, the controller automatically determines the maximum output power (MPP) of solar modules several times per second.
Then convert the excess voltage from the solar panel into a higher charging current for the battery (locted by high frequency and high efficiency switching regulator technology).This increase in the load current ensures shorter loading times and the best possible use of solar system performance.MPP solar controllers operate fully automatic and do not require maintenance.

  • Increased MPP load current compared to conventional controllers by using the latest controller technology (microprocessor) between 10% and 30% (efficiency  95%).The increase in performance is particularly evident in the coldest seasons and, p.B. in high fog, low and diffuse (wintered).
  • To load lead-gel batteries, lead-AGM, lead-acid or full LiFePO4 batteries (with integrated, balanced BMS, safety circuit and approval!) of the specified nominal voltages and the joint feeding of consumers connected to these batteries in permanent installations Systems with the specified battery capabilities and the specified charging programs.

  • Charging Characteristic "IU1oU2": the defined increase in the load voltage (U1) prevents the stratification of harmful acids (plome) and guarantees the compensation charge of the individual cells of the battery (plome and lithium), followed by an automatic slow load (U2).
  • Load cable compensation: The voltage loss on the load cables is automatically corrected.
  • Network filter on board: parallel operation without problems with turbines and motors, network loaders, alternators, etc.
  • Measuring output for EBL, possibly existing electric block in the vehicle's living room: allows the convenient use of a current (solar) screen integrated into the electric block to control the solar system.

  • Switching output "AES" (only MPP 250, MPP 350 and MPP 430): If there is a permanent excess of solar energy, refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector, Electrolux / Dometic) automatically change from gas to 12 V operation.
  • Connection for battery temperature sensor (art. n. 2001): In the case of lead batteries, the charge voltage is automatically adapted to the battery temperature.
